Period 1 - Computer Information Systems 11/12
This course allows PCSS students to delve into using computers with a graphical purpose. Students will use computers to work with still and moving images. They will learn how to work in a multitasking environment and learn to take advantage of different aspects of multiple applications, allowing them to best use the resources available to them.
The digital media course encourages students to pursue the technical side of visual media development. ICT: Digital Media 11 allows for the initial learning in areas related to digital video, 2D/3D graphic design, desktop publishing and page layout, 3D design and animation and WWW publishing. ICT: Digital Media 12 allows for more advanced learning in these areas.

Robotics 8 is designed to provide PCSS students with the knowledge, skills and understanding of Computers required for them to use technology securely, creatively and independently.
This course provides an introduction to computer studies. Students are introduced to numerous software applications and are given the chance to explore their uses. Each student learns how to save their work on the school network, use our network and how to save and access their work from both school and home. This course allows students a small taste of the other potential courses they can choose to enrol in later on.
This course is divided into four modules of study:
1.Web Awareness/Communications/Network use
2.Robotics
3.Presentation/Multimedia
4.Optional Units (Hardware, Software, Animation, Video, Audio, Other)
